Education

Lynn W. Bedford, Jr. joined Spinelli Corporation in 2001 after a 28-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), followed by several years as an international law enforcement consultant. He specializes in these professional investigations and services:

Mr. Bedford was hired by the FBI in 1969 and assigned to the Miami (FL), Austin and McAllen (TX) offices. After being transferred to the San Juan, PR, Division, he investigated some of the FBI's most significant international terrorism cases.

From 1977 to 1997 Mr. Bedford served in the Phoenix Division of the FBI where he held positions of increasing responsibility. He was also an instructor for the FBI in the areas of firearms, defensive tactics, photography, homicide, interviewing techniques, crime scene investigations, international auto theft, child sexual abuse, report writing, and case management.

Mr. Bedford provided technical assistance and consulting services to numerous European, South American, Central American and African nations during his tenure with the FBI and after retiring from the agency in 1997, among them: Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Spain, Namibia, Nigeria, and the Republic of South Africa.

His assignments included guiding the formation and training of 15,000 police officers of the Policia Nacional de Guatemala following 36 years of civil war and military rule, and organizing a strike force to combat corruption at the request of the U.S. Embassy in Quito, Ecuador. For his work in Ecuador he received a personal letter of appreciation from U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno.

From 1999 to 2001 he was a program manager with the U.S. Department of Justice, providing daily technical assistance to the Attorney General of South Africa and writing policy and procedure for the newly developed Directorate of Special Operations.

During his career with the FBI Mr. Bedford received numerous letters of commendation and incentive awards from the Director of the FBI, as well as from local civic leaders.

Credentials and Professional Associations

Mr. Bedford is a licensed private investigator in Arizona.

Education

Mr. Bedford graduated from Brigham Young University (Provo, UT) in 1969, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in accounting. He speaks Spanish fluently.
